It only takes $5.00 to become a member. This isn’t a fee; it’s your "share" in the credit union. When you open a Share Savings Account with at least $5.00, you become a partial owner of the credit union and gain access to all our competitive rates and services.
Not necessarily! You can apply for membership and most loan products entirely online from your computer or mobile device. However, if you prefer a face-to-face conversation or have specific questions, our team is always happy to help at any of our local branches across Maryland and West Virginia.

  • Membership: Online applications are typically processed within 1–2 business days.

  • Loans: Many loan applications (like auto or personal loans) receive a decision very quickly, often within the same business day, because our underwriters are right here in the community, not in a far-off corporate office.


To make the process as smooth as possible, have the following items ready:

  • Identification: A valid, non-expired government-issued photo ID (like a Driver’s License or Passport).

  • Personal Info: Your Social Security Number and Date of Birth.

  • Address Verification: If your current address doesn’t match your ID, a utility bill or bank statement may be required.

  • Opening Deposit: A minimum of $5.00 to fund your new Share Savings account.
